Smoke and Heat Extraction System (RWA)
In the event of a fire, the formation of toxic carbon monoxide poses the greatest danger to humans and animals. More than two-thirds of fire victims die as a result of smoke inhalation. For the survival of people inside the building, the controlled removal of smoke and heat is essential. At the same time, effective firefighting operations are only possible once smoke and heat have been extracted.
These systems are known as RWA systems (smoke extraction and heat extraction systems) and consist of several components.
RWG / NRA
In addition to individual smoke and heat extraction units (RWG), they also include the power supply, suitable triggering and control elements, as well as an air supply that prevents negative pressure from forming in the affected areas.

These systems are equipped with a motor-driven fan that effectively removes toxic fire gases. Since these gases can reach temperatures of up to 1000°C, the associated extraction ducts must be constructed with fire-resistant properties.
