The fire damper is a component for installation in ventilation ducts within walls and ceilings or away from walls (with fire-resistant cladding). The fire damper is a safety-related component that is normally open but closed in the event of a fire. Fire dampers are classified based on fire resistance tests carried out (EN 1366-2) in accordance with EN 13501-3.
